Wife, Mother, Photographer... this is my story.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I moved to Colorado to study and earn my Bachelors Degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University.
Since graduation, I have traveled and worked in the field studying many different species. Eventually my field work brought me to the headwaters of the Lochsa River with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. I spent many days and hours walking rivers, hiking and falling in love with the forest along Hwy 12 and the wild and scenic river. It was during this time, I also met and fell in love with my sweet heart, a Wildland Firefighter for the Powell Ranger Station.
We married, transferred to Grangeville with the Forest Service and had a boisterous baby girl. Never far from our hearts is the area where we met and fell in love, my husband has always been my biggest fan and often my main source for encouragement. This is the inspiration behind the name Hwy12 Photography.
I have continually been encouraged to learn and practice photography and I would like to use this website to share my photos professionally in hopes to find new faces and places to capture. This is my story. Let's talk about how we can start capturing your story.
I look forward to meeting you!
